as a New Zealand manufacturer and design house, every piece of forma furniture is made to order. we don’t carry stock, and we don’t overproduce. each component is ordered at the time of your order, which means we only make what is genuinely needed. the result is a manufacturing process with minimal waste and no surplus sitting in a warehouse.

our frames are built from natural timbers sourced through the American Hardwood Export Council, chosen from renewable resources. timber offcuts don’t go to landfill — they’re supplied to our local community. we finish timber products with water-based lacquers, and any powder coating we use releases no VOCs during manufacture.

the materials inside your furniture are chosen with the same care. feathers used in cushioning are a by-product of the meat industry, and our foams are the highest commercial grade available — selected for longevity and backed by a 10-year guarantee. we consider energy consumption and waste at every stage of production, and we’re continuously working on improvements where we can make them.

as a company we have recycling practices in place across our facility, including paper and plastic recycling stations and the reuse of clear plastic wherever possible.

because every forma piece is made to order, we only produce what is needed. components are sourced at the time of your order, keeping waste to a minimum and eliminating the overproduction that comes with holding large amounts of stock.

our furniture is designed and built for long-term use. frames are constructed from quality timber, and upholstery materials are selected for their performance over time. many of our fabric options are also suitable for reupholstering, extending the life of your furniture well beyond the original purchase.
